Castelbuono is a dream we’ve carried with us for a long time, now finally taking shape. Born from the desire to create an edition fully dedicated to chamber music, it has found its natural home at Abbazia Santa Anastasia, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, with views opening towards Cefalù and the Madonie Mountains.

 The days unfold between rehearsals, nature, and the simple pleasures of Sicilian life. The program, with Dvořák and Ravel, lies at the heart of this experience, inviting listening, sharing, and real connection.

 On October 11, the final performance will feel like the natural result of everything we have lived together.

 Castelbuono is not just a destination, it’s a place we experience together, and that stays with us.

A €250 deposit is required upon registration.

In short, from the moment you arrive, everything is taken care of (unless you wish to purchase personal extras such as souvenirs), so you can simply enjoy the experience, the music, and each other’s company. 

Abbazia Santa Anastasia is a former Benedictine abbey dating back to the 12th century, carefully restored and transformed into a 5-star relais and winery. The property preserves its original architectural character, with stone walls, vaulted spaces, and a sense of history that is still very present.

The estate extends over vineyards and olive groves, with its own wine production and a strong focus on local agriculture.

Located just 10 minutes from Castelbuono and within easy reach of Cefalù and Sicily’s northern coast, Abbazia Santa Anastasia is also a gateway to the Madonie Natural Park, making it an ideal base for scenic hikes and exploring the surrounding landscape.

La Corte dell’Abate is the gourmet restaurant of Abbazia Santa Anastasia, set within the abbey’s former wine cellars, where the monks once stored their barrels. The space still preserves this original character, with vaulted roofs and historic stone architecture unfolding over two levels.

Here the culinary philosophy is deeply rooted in the territory of the Madonie region and in the principles of Slow Food. The cuisine is based on carefully selected local ingredients, many of which come directly from the property and the surrounding area, with a strong focus on seasonality. Traditional Sicilian recipes are reinterpreted with precision and creativity, resulting in dishes that feel both authentic and contemporary.

Under the guidance of the chef Alessandro Battaglia, the kitchen focuses on enhancing the natural character of each ingredient, rather than transforming it, allowing the flavors of the region to remain at the center of the experience. The result is a cuisine that is refined but never distant, closely connected to the land and to its traditions.
