After months of planning, we’re ready to welcome you to our new destination: Salina. Among the Aeolian Islands, Salina is the calmest and most exclusive one. Known also as the “green island” for its lush landscapes, the “island of wine” for its Malvasia vineyards, and the “island of cats” for its curious feline residents. 

There is a fascinating, little-known story that links these islands to great music: the legendary conductor Sergiu Celibidache, after years leading the Berliner Philharmoniker, fell in love with the Aeolian Islands. He built 7 villas on Lipari, each with the name of one of the Aeolian Islands, and promoted music through concerts across Sicily. With Sicily Music Holidays, we want to bring this connection back to life, exploring a spectacular program in this magical setting.

Salina is our newest destination, and for this special chapter we’ve chosen one of the most charming hotels of the island: Hotel Arcangelo.

This beautiful property perfectly embodies the spirit of Sicily Music Holidays: small, family-run, reserved entirely for our group, and filled with warmth and color, a place where it’s easy to feel at home from the very first moment. 

Its architecture reflects the traditional houses of Salina, with a yellow facade like the island’s sun. From the terrace, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the sea and the surrounding islands, while the small pool with easy access offers the perfect spot to relax.

Ten minutes from our hotel, in the small village of Lingua, you’ll find one of our favourites: “Il Gambero”. You might wonder why we’d go so far away, but the answer is simple: this is where you can taste the authentic Aeolian Islands cuisine. Fresh, traditional dishes, right by the sea, in a setting that feels both genuine and unforgettable. 

Despite its seafront location, the kind that often signals a “tourist trap”, Il Gambero is loved above all by the locals. That alone makes it a quality guarantee on an island where tourism dominates.

To make things even easier, a private shuttle takes us there and back to Santa Marina every day, turning every meal into a relaxed experience from the beginning to the end.
